Since the beginning of time, Italy has been
the epicenter for exquisite design. Although well-known for its
architecture, sculpture, and paintings, Italian inspiration also
infuses so many other areas of design including couture, jewelry,
interior design and furnishings.
Founded in 1983, Excelsior Designs shares in the centuries of
inspiration found in Italian design. In the decades since its
debut, Excelsior Designs has earned its own renown for sensational
Contemporary and Transitional design blended with the finest attributes
of Italian craftsmanship.
From designs that capture the soul to cabinetmaking that incorporates
wonderful functionality, these are the collections that are a
pleasure to admire and live with. Beautiful veneers exhibit the
artistry of Mother Nature and are a hallmark of Excelsior Designs,
as are the silky finishes that highlight the beauty of the wood
grains and veneer patterns. Even the collections' hardware is
like jewelry.
Excelsior Designs debuted Casa Novalia,
a new company within the Excelsior Designs family in 2000. Addressing
crème de la crème Contemporary and Transitional
design enthusiasts, Casa Novalia creates furnishings of mixed
media while capitalizing on Excelsior Design's reputation for
spectacular veneers and finishing. Excelsior Designs and Casa
Novalia feature furnishings for bedroom, dining, occasional, entertainment,
and home office settings.
In 2004, Casa Novalia Leather was added to the line. Dozens of
framestyles and leather selections allow for the perfect size,
look, and comfort to suit each individual's needs. Excelsior Designs
and Casa Novalia are available through fine furniture retailers
ranging from single store Contemporary design specialists to multi-store
companies that offer Contemporary and Transitional design in their
menu of design choices. Although some retailers carry both the
Excelsior Designs and Casa Novalia lines, Casa Novalia has also
developed exclusive distribution.
Excelsior Designs and Casa Novalia collections are exquisitely
made in Northeastern Italy.
